It's made with flash. It's just a compilation of a few other things I've learned from tutorials. Most of the physics are from Bit-101.

This is simply awesome,
do you think you could post a tutorial or notes on how you did this?
thanks in advance.

I could probably put together something... But I'd rather wait until I can teach it completely in AS2. For now I'll direct you to [link] for some good tutorials with physics (such as gravitation and elasticity), and I think a little on particles. And then you could check out [link] - they have one tutorial on AS2, and a few others which might be helpful.

Also I have school starting tomorrow so I won't have much time for flash :(

you are a genius dude, totally awesome!!
is there a way you could change the mouse pointer when it is positioned over the flash window??
that would make for an excellent idea!
Maybe a stick figure dude trying to dodge the patrticles!
well, phenomenal stuff you have here! glad you commented on one of my comments I was trying to find your DA name again I just couldnt spell it right!

Thanks!

I could change the mouse pointer, but I think that idea would work better with keyboard control.

You'd be surprised how simple this stuff is once you get the hang of actionscript.

How did you do the trail lines? Did you do this in flash mx because i use 5?

The script you have produced this time is really interesting rush smoothly doesn't crash at all. Got any good web sites with command lines?

I just created a movie clip every frame from the prevous x of the dot to the new x. Then every frame you just subtract a number from the MCs alpha.

you use duplicateMovieClip(); for this right -_-?

No. The only object in my library is the dot mc. I create a black movie clip and put a line inside it for each tail segment.

I have made trails in the past using duplicating movie clips. You would basically put a 45 degree tildid line inside your tail segment MC then place it's x and y at the dot, and make it's height and with the distance between the dot and it's previous position.

I think my way works faster because there is no distortion needed.
